The Barnstable and Hyannis communities held a rally this week in response to a hate crime against Jews allegedly perpetrated by three local high school boys. According to police, the boys broke into the Chabad Center of Cape Cod in Hyannis on Nov. 5, defaced the walls and threw religious objects on the ground.

Hundreds have gathered to denounce a recent break-in of a Cape Cod Jewish center that police have called a hate crime. Residents and religious leaders packed a Barnstable High School auditorium Tuesday almost a week after police arrested three juveniles accused of breaking into and vandalizing the Chabad Jewish Center in Hyannis.

HYANNIS, Mass. (AP) – Three juveniles have been charged with breaking into and vandalizing a Cape Cod Jewish center. Police said Thursday that images of Adolf Hitler and anti-Semitic symbols found on the rabbi’s computer were downloaded during the break-in at the Chabad Jewish Center in Hyannis.
